A Maryland Bridge is a conservative option for making a bridge if the teeth adjacent to the edentulous space are healthy and not restored. To obtain a natural and esthetic appearance they can be made of full ceramic. The abutment teeth (the ones that will anchor the bridge) are minimally prepared, an impression is made and then the final restoration is cemented in place.
